Wonderful people have posted in a forum some bits that put together the ability to connect Microsoft Word 2007/2010 and other blog publishing software to your Joomla site. I wanted to put it all in one place and help people get this rolling – this is a free and simple enhancement that helps you put content on your site in a much faster/easier way.
- Download the plugin from us,
or the internet.
-
Go into your Joomla site backend administrator
- Global Configuration -> System, Enable Web Services (ON)
- Plugins -> turn OFF the XML RPC plugin that is on by default
- Install the metablog plugin (linked above)
- Publish and configure the plugin by clicking on it in the plugin page of the admin tool
-
Open Microsoft Word
- Write an article
- Share/Publish – to Blog
- New blog account
- Type: OTHER
- Type: change from Atom to MetaBlog API
- In URL: http://{yourdomain}/xmlrpc/index.php
- Username: your username
- Start having fun!
Will update this in the future with video tutorials..

It is no longer possible to complete Step 2 in Joomla 1.6/1.7. The Enable Web Services option has been removed. It is no longer part of the basic Joomla Package and any plugins that use it will need to be re-written (from what I can gather.)
See this thread for details (assuming you're a programmer and can make sense of it.) http://docs.joomla.org/Xml-rpc_changes_in_Joomla!_1.6
Thanks
I tried to follow your description but already at your point 2.Go into your Joomla site backend administrator

I cant find it, pls help
You highlight a word, hyperlink, and give the FULL URL to the location of the article in joomla.
Do you mean for articles that aren't published on a menu already?
Ive tried to elaborate a bit further in spanish, in my webpage.
