New Site - Search Engine Placement - ArtisanCustomFraming.com

Artisan Custom Framing wanted to show up on google - most web companies would be up for the challenge, and we were successful.  The next step is to widen the reach of the site so we'll be coaching on social networking and other $free forms of online advertising.  This is a great example of a REALLY good business that deserves online traffic to get to their site, and we have been struggling to improve the traffic numbers.

Here are some steps you might take in a similar situation:

1. Start a blog and show of recent High End framing jobs - these are REALLY cool
2. Get a facebook account and add all your contacts, and do the same thing with cool projects
3. In general create compelling content for your site, like articles and pictures that draw people to your site
4. Create a google adsense account - especially if you can get a free $100 trial from them, and test the waters
5. Get a second phone number just for tracking, even google voice - and put THAT number on your website for tracking
6. Consider a coupon mailer with the same number, or even a 3rd phone number for tracking

All of these and probably 100's more are the normal things small business has to come up with to get people to shop with them instead of the competitors with huge marketing budgets.  I know first hand that some local businesses with only 50~ employees can have a marketing budget of $200,000.00 per month!  You'll have to put in some time to compete with that..
